About Simon

Simon started at Millcaster Arts Society (now MillcARTS) in 1997 as a part-time administrator and has been the reason behind the organisation's slow and steady growth. He is resistant to sudden change and never takes a risk.

Simon lives alone and regularily attends courses in office management, pinning up notes with instructions all around the office. However, he is meticulous in his approach to managing the finances.

His vision for the charity is limited; that it should deliver their programme of arts classes to the community ad infinitum. He doesn’t feel the organisation needs an Artistic Director as he is capable of running things alone. This attitude is not supported by Marcus and the Board but they are too polite to do anything about the root of this problem which is why three Artistic Directors have come and gone during his time there.

People

  • Simon reports to Frida who is the Chair of MillcARTS.
  • Simon shares directorship with Artistic Director Jason.
