I would like to ask some advise. I would like to collect some money for my baby cousin who is currently in Poland. He is expecting an 2 operations in Germany that will decide if baby will live!

Has anyone raised money on savepatches.com? they've got some great ideas on new ways of fundraising.

I'm trying to raise money for a trip or commission based fundraising of our non-profit organization, Birbhum, India and also I need a consultant for raising funds on the behalf of our organization. Anyone ever done this before who can give me some tips?

Event fundraising ideas are often neglected but are by far the easiest way to raise funds.  Race Nights are fantastic fundraisers, and very popular in the UK. The race nights used to be with horse races but times have changed and cartoon snail race night packs are the modern equivalent.  The  packs,  - are easy to run and extremely entertaining.  Check out the snail racing race nights of Fundeo.  With  little effort you can raise £1000 or more in a couple of hours.

I know this doesn't apply to all, but one way of getting your friends to sponsor you without having to ask for their money is to ask for them to do certain actions instead; its especially useful for those interested raising awareness fr social or environmental causes. Depending on the time scale your projects have for raising the funding levels you require, I would suggest you check out crowdfunding. My site has a list of platforms to look at: http://minivation.org/workslist.html

The list needs improving, in that it is not very interactive, it is just a list at the moment, but for the 3rd sector there are some really great crowdfunding platforms out there (i.e. buzzbnk or crowdfundSW1).

I should also say that crowdfunding is not an 'easy' option and should be planned properly before diving in... but I might just have the right tool for anyone interested, should be ready for release in January.

Fundraising idea is quite hard to build,in Helsinki Finland some of the Varainhankinta or fundraising are building some events and some are selling different kind of item so that it has a return to many people and they know that they are helping through buying some items.
