Subject: how to get funding?
hats off to all of you, I run a small pony rescue non profit organisation where basically I rescue, rehabilitate and rehome horses and ponies - its aim was to be self funding but sadly that doesnt seem possible - Ill admit Im struggling - Ive rang up the charities commission who say that you cant register until you have been running for a year - Im at a loss really I am - whilst I have ran my own business before Ive never ran a non profit - we desperately need funding and I dont know where to start - can anyone help - I must admit I thought that it was a quick call to the charities commission to get the ball rolling how foolish do I feel now ???? I apologise if I seem a bit haphazard but its just grown and wasnt a concious decision to do this ................................... Sarah

don't worry - am sure lots of organisations start out this way! Could you share a bit more information about what stage you're at? It will help us find you more helpful advice.
- how long have you been going?
- what do you need funds for specifically?
- what fundraising do you do? what has worked and what hasn't?
- where are you based?
- do you work in collaboration with any other charities?

this is interesting to me as ive just posted about starting a recue and havent a clue where to go from here lol , i already look fter 4 horses on a tiny bit of council land so need to fundraise to find land for them close to me and take on some more to rehabilitate and rehome , i wish you lots of luck
